Resident concert junkie Sunny D is going through withdrawal. It’s been nearly a year since her last concert. Fortunately, she’s been able to find some new songs to enjoy while she waits to attend concerts again. While her favorite songs usually change from week to week, she’s held onto these top 3 longer than normal. Check out her current faves from Passion, Andrew Ripp, and Phil Wickham. Afterward, let us know what three songs have caught your attention and your heart lately!
3. "There's Nothing That Our God Can't Do" by Passion featuring Kristian Stanfill
Sunny D absolutely loves Passion and has even attended some of their conferences in Atlanta. However, this song is especially loved by the Puerto Rican host. She gushes, “I love this song because it’s a reminder of just HOW powerful our God is! They sing ‘in just ONE word you calm the storm and the darkness inside me,’ and ‘you heal what’s broken inside of me.’ LOVE THAT! And the reminder that there is no mountain He can’t move. He is THAT good.”
3. "Jericho" by Andrew Ripp
Admitting that this song has recently wavered in her list, Sunny D says, “This song was my number one fave, but has since moved into 2nd place. This one has that amazing reminder of the walls of Jericho and praising the Lord brought those walls down! I love that he sings ‘all of my fears gotta come down.’ That hits home for me because I do struggle with fear and anxiety, so it resonates with me.”
1. "Battle Belongs" by Phil Wickham
Sunny D’s number one pick for this week is also a quick favorite of many listeners. She says, “My FAVE part is when he sings, ‘so when I fight, I’ll fight on my knees with my hands lifted high.’ I LOVE that visual and it’s something that I actually do often. You KNOW how I LOVE and LIVE to worship, and in those moments when I can’t stand because the pain or heartache is too much, I get on my knees and lift my arms up to him in complete surrender. So this is my new anthem and I listen to it at least 5 times a day.”
You can hear Sunny D rave about more of her favorite songs weeknights from 7-10pm, Saturdays 10am-2pm and 4-7pm, and again on Sundays from 3-6pm.
