Halloween has been a hot topic of discussion in the last week on Life in the Morning with Craig and Jim. Should Christians participate in Halloween? But maybe that isn’t the right question. Maybe the better question is, “How can we redeem Halloween?” Redeeming Halloween is possible, and we’ve got a great idea that kids are gonna love.
This morning, Craig Thomas came across an article entitled “Redeeming Halloween – Ideas to Share Jesus on October 31st.” Yes, the day has some evil connections that make many Christians want to run from it. But on this annual holiday when neighbors gather in the streets, don’t miss out on the opportunity to redeem the day and share the gospel in ways you couldn’t on any other day of the year.
One of the ideas Craig liked the most was printing off stickers to place on pieces of candy you distribute as kids trick-or-treat. It’s a simple way to share some little truths about Jesus to the littlest among us.
All you need are some Avery address labels (5160) that you can find in any office supply store. Then print off the special labels and stick them to your favorite candy to hand out.

At the end of Matthew 28, Jesus gives His followers what’s known as the Great Commission:
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
On October 31st, the nations are coming to you. Don’t waste the opportunity to share Jesus. Join us redeeming Halloween and shining a light in the darkness.
