New Music from Cory Asbury, Cochren & Co., and Chris Tomlin

Cochren

It’s Friday again, friends! And that means a new edition of Fresh Music Friday! This week’s post features yet another new release from worship leader Cory Asbury, a song already getting airplay and listener reactions from Cochren & Co., and one more release from Chris Tomlin ahead of his new album drop. Check out all three then vote for your favorite!

"Canyons" by Cory Asbury

Yes, I know, we shared a new Cory Asbury song last week. But the worship leader released yet another song this morning! A couple weeks back, he had taken to social media to see which new song his fans wanted him to release, “Sparrows” or “Canyons.” Results were close, so Cory decided to drop the other song as well. While the previous release centered on God’s care for his children, this one explores the depths of His love for us.

Canyons wide, oceans deep
Can’t contain all Your love for me
No matter how high or far I reach
There’s no end to Your love for me

The rest of his new album “To Love a Fool” releases on July 31, 2020.

"Who Can" by Cochren & Co.

Cochren & Co.’s first couple of songs on Life 90.5 have been so sharply relevant for our difficult season. “Church” has been an anthem for many eager to return to regular worship services, and “One Day” touches on the idea that “one day the color of our skin won’t cause a divide.” Although released in late May, this next single was just recently added to your Life 90.5.

“I’m so excited for you all to hear this,” Cochren shared on social media. “Our lives can get messy. But Jesus doesn’t run FROM our mess, he runs TO our mess. I hope this song helps you to know how much Jesus loves you.”

"Be the Moon" by Chris Tomlin featuring Brett Young and Cassadee Pope

This new Tomlin song has an undeniable country flair. Artists Brett Young and Cassadee Pope lend their talents to a tune focused on what our response to the Lord should be – reflecting Him.

I’m nothing without the Son’s amazing grace
On everything I do
If You’re shining on me
I’m shining right back for You
I wanna be the moon

Tomlin’s next album “Chris Tomlin & Friends” also comes out on July 31st, 2020.
