Have you ever had a day when nothing is going right? You spill your coffee that morning, then someone cuts you off in traffic, and your boss schedules a last minute meeting? Whether it’s little troubles or much larger problems, Micah Tyler reminds us in his latest song that there’s always a reason to “Praise the Lord.” Join us as we discover what Micah says about the song, then watch the hilarious music video!
THE STORY BEHIND “PRAISE THE LORD”

Over the years, Micah Tyler has brought us several songs that help us praise God including “I See Grace,” “Amen,” and “Even Then.” However, this song focuses on the reason why we can keep praising even when we don’t feel like it. Here’s what Micah had to say about the song:
I’m not sure where you’re going through today. I’m not sure where you’ve been but I do know this. That the matter where we go, this world is wanting to cause trouble. There’s gonna be problems that we’re gonna come against daily, daily, daily. But I do know this, that we have a Savior, who has overcome the world. And because of that, it’s a reason for us to praise the Lord. No matter what our battle may be, it’s an opportunity for us to praise the Lord. So no matter what you’re going through or what you’ve gone through already, we have reason today, to praise the Lord.
Micah Tyler
King David encourages the same thing in his psalms. Check this out from Psalm 34:
I will praise the Lord no matter what happens. I will constantly speak of his glories and grace. I will boast of all his kindness to me. Let all who are discouraged take heart. Let us praise the Lord together and exalt his name. For I cried to him and he answered me! He freed me from all my fears.
Psalm 34:1-4 (TLB)
No matter what is happening in our lives today, there’s always a reason to give the Lord some praise. So take a moment to remember his blessings in your life. Reflect on the gift of Jesus, our Savior. Find comfort in the fact that all your difficulties are temporary and there’s a heavenly victory ahead. Then join us and our friend Micah to “Praise the Lord” together.

SONG LYRICS
I remember when a long-lost sinner met a good, good God
I remember when my heart was broken, but now it’s not
I’ve tasted and I’ve seen
You’ve been so good to me
From the moment that You changed my life, God
You never stopped
I’m gonna sing it
I’m gonna shout it
I’m gonna lift my hands and praise
No matter what is gonna come my way
All You’ve done for me
I give You the glory
From the valley to the victory
I know my God is gonna fight for me
So when the devil come try to get me
Gonna praise the Lord
When the devil come try to get me
Gonna praise the Lord
From the moment when the sun starts rising ’til the sun goes down
I’m surrounded by a million mercies, I can feel them now
I’ve tasted and I’ve seen
You’ve been so good to me
Got a melody inside my heart, oh
Here’s a sweet, sweet sound
I’m gonna sing it
I’m gonna shout it
I’m gonna lift my hands and praise
No matter what is gonna come my way
All You’ve done for me
I give You the glory
From the valley to the victory
I know my God is gonna fight for me
So when the devil come try to get me
Gonna praise the Lord
When the devil come try to get me
Gonna praise the Lord
In every high
In every low
My hope is found in Christ alone
And here on earth when I get home
My hope is found in Christ alone
And I’m gonna sing it
Come praise the Lord
Come praise the Lord
Come praise the Lord
I’m gonna sing it
I’m gonna shout it
I’m gonna lift my hands and praise
No matter what is gonna come my way
All You’ve done for me
I give You the glory
From the valley to the victory
I know my God is gonna fight for me
So when the devil come try to get me
Gonna praise the Lord
When the devil come try to get me
Gonna praise the Lord
