Life as a Mom

Listeners Describe Life as a Mom in Four Words

Hey friends! Mandy Bowman here. I’m the middays host on Life 90.5 and I know absolutely nothing about being a mom. That being said, we presented moms with a challenge this week ahead of Mother’s Day. On air as well as Facebook and Instagram this week, we asked you to describe life as a mom in 4 words. Friends, the results are fantastic.

MOM LIFE IS FUNNY

Some of our moms jumped straight to the hilariously truthful side of motherhood:

Elizabeth on Facebook says, “I need a nap.”
Heather quotes herself, “Get outta the fridge!”
Robin repeats a line often said, “clean your room please!”
Katrina comments, “joyful, coffee, no sleep.”
Janet prays, “God, I am tired!”
Leane references a common problem, lamenting, “not while I’m pooping.”

MOM LIFE IS TOUGH

Other mothers describe the struggle of being a mom:

Shanda says on Instagram, “hardest job we do.”
Another friend on Instagram shares, “tired, frustrated, full heart.”
Whitney says “I am still learning.”
Jos says on Facebook, “Really hard; worth it.”

MOM LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL

Countless mothers, however, tout the tremendous joys of motherhood with their four words:

Harriet shares on Instagram, “the most rewarding thing.”
Savanna says on Facebook, “blessed beyond all measure.”
Sandra gushes, “the best job ever!”
Tammy messages in saying, “with a grateful heart.”

MOMS, YOU ARE LOVED

Moms, our hearts ache that you can’t be celebrated with all the usual fanfare amidst closings due to COVID-19. In addition to the handmade glittery gifts and flowers, you deserve all the glamorous outings, fabulous dinners, and decadent desserts you could ever want. We pray you would know that you are loved this Mother’s Day. Even if your relationship with your children is strained at this time, know that you are dearly loved by your Heavenly Father.

“Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” – Proverbs 31:30
