Year of mistakes finally caught up with her. Leslie found herself in jail yet again for drug offenses. It wasn’t the first time. And she figured it probably wouldn’t be her last. If she made it out, she knew she would make the same mistakes again. This was her life and she couldn’t see it any other way.
Leslie was alone. Hopeless. Needing a change, but thinking it wasn’t possible.
One day a clear, plastic radio made its way to her cell. Excited to finally hear some of her favorite pop songs again, she scanned the dial. But something unexpected caught her ear. A song rang out, “I wanna be different, I wanna be changed ’til all of me is gone and all that remains is a fire so bright the whole world can see that there’s something different. So could you be different in me.”
That’s what Leslie wanted. To be different.
Leslie heard that song at just the right time. She knew she wanted to be different, and the only way that would happen was with Jesus. Leslie surrendered her life to the Lord that day and began reading a Bible. Following Leslie’s release, she began working with a ministry that often engages addicts. Now she shares her story of how Jesus makes a difference with those who need that change, too.
Leslie experienced freedom in Jesus and lives a brand new life because people just like you make a gift to Life 90.5. When you donate, you enable someone in their darkest moments to hear how Jesus can make everything different. Your gift through your local Christian music station changes lives in Wilmington and beyond. You’re invited to join so many others in changing lives today, too.
