If you’re looking for a good summer bop to crank up on your car radio while you roll down the windows and ride to your nearest beach, we’ve found it! Jordan Feliz has consistently delivered the upbeat songs we love like “Witness,” “Changed” and “Jesus is Coming Back.” But his latest song “The King is Alive” brings us back to that basic gospel truth – the Jesus who was killed on a cross is alive again! And that’s worth celebrating every single day. In this blog, discover what Jordan says about the inspiration for the song, a quick reminder of the resurrection story, then the song itself.
WHAT FELIZ SAYS ABOUT “THE KING IS ALIVE”

Back in April 2023, on the day the song officially released, Feliz took to Instagram to share the heart behind the song:
I feel like I’ve waited forever for this song to come out and I’m just so so excited… I found this quote from my buddy Max Lucado. He says, "The resurrection of Jesus isn’t just a historical event to be commemorated. It’s a spiritual reality to be experienced every day in the lives of those who believe." And for me, ya’ll, that’s what this song is all about. It’s about reminding everyone that Jesus is just as alive today as he was when he walked this earth. That’s our joy, that’s our hope - the King is alive.

REMEMBER THE RESURRECTION
Every spring at Easter time, we all read the familiar passages regarding the resurrection of Christ in churches. But that history-altering event should be remembered more than just once a year. Let’s take a moment to read through the account containing the best news ever.
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ” Then they remembered his words.
Luke 24:1-8
We need to remember those words as well. Every day, we can celebrate the fact that the King is alive!

LYRICS FOR “THE KING IS ALIVE”
Come on now, getting loud with it
Sing it out, tell ‘em God did it
He Beat the grave and He’s still living
Risen to set the soul free
Why would I keep this song inside
I think it’s time to testify
Throwing my hands up to the sky
“Jesus is alive!”
The praises don’t stop, the devil’s been dropped
Got some good news coming straight from the top
He saved me from the fire, lifted me higher
Feeling so good, gotta sing it with the choir
‘Cause He’s alive, alive
The King is alive, alive
Crazy days got my head swimming BUT
we know the One who keeps the world spinning
We never lost, and we keep winning
‘Cause Jesus is still on the throne
Why would I keep this song inside
I think it’s time to testify
Throwing my hands up to the sky
“Jesus is alive!”
The praises don’t stop, the devil’s been dropped
Got some good news coming straight from the top
He saved me from the fire, lifted me higher
Feeling so good, gotta sing it with the choir
‘Cause He’s alive, alive
The King is alive, alive
Come on and praise the name
Somebody praise the name (Jesus)
Cause we’re forever saved
And death is in the grave (Oh Yeah)
