It’s fall festival season! Although many churches have opted to cancel their annual Halloween-related events, Faith Life Fellowship in Wilmington is continuing theirs. Pastor Scott Forrest joins us with all the details.
The Fall Festival takes place this Saturday, October 24th, from 11am to 2pm. As an outdoor event, it is held in the church parking lot at 725 Wellington Ave. Families can expect 3 food trucks, 6 craft booths, plus games and fun for kids. And don’t forget about plenty of candy!
While the festival is free to attend, be prepared to purchase your meals from the food trucks.
Pastor Forrest makes it clear that masks are not required to attend the event. However, if you feel the need to wear one, you are welcome to do so. There will also be hand sanitizer stations. In addition, due to the use of the large outdoor area, families can easily stay in groups and social distance.
While many churches nixed their fall festival plans, Faith Life Fellowship made their festival a point of prayer. Seeking to no longer live in fear, Forrest says they will “take precautions, but we cannot hide in holes and expect the gospel to be preached.”
