Every Tuesday, we feature the top 3 songs from one of you listeners! Today, it’s Debra’s turn to share her top 3. She’s been a listener since December 2015 and says, “Life 90.5 brings me peace. Listening helps keep me centered in a chaotic world full of negative news and aggressive drivers when traveling.” That’s especially important in Wilmington traffic! So check out her favorite current songs and why she loves them so much.
1. “Fear is a Liar” by Zach Williams
“This song reminds me of my life. I grew up in a small town in rural West Virginia. Limited opportunities for girls in the 60s and 70s. Self debt could easily creep into your mind. If you allow fear to whisper doubt into your mind, it will rob you of rest, steal your happiness and stop you from moving forward. You must try to give your failures to God. I cry every time I hear it.”
2. “So Will I” by Hillsong Worship
“This song brings chill bumps and describes the creation of the world so eloquently that my soul is moved to tears when the light of the world is abandoned in darkness to die.”
3. “You Say” by Lauren Daigle
“My mom represented the unconditional love that provided the crutch I needed when I was at my lowest. She would remind me to give my burdens to Jesus and trust Him. Believe you are His, you are loved, you are strong and you are MORE than just the sum of every high and low in your life.”
Thank you, Debra, for sharing your current favorite songs with us! You can submit your own top 3 and you might be featured on a future blog post, too. What do you think of Debra’s picks? Let us know in the comments!
