Thanks to COVID-19, churches and theater groups may not be offering beloved Christmas musicals this year. But there’s another option – “A Virtual Christmas.”
Paul Ertzberger joins us this week for our Ministry Focus. The 12-year-old has been involved in theater all his life and does not want to see Christmas musicals disappear in this difficult year. In addition to his theater experience, he has already scripted two short films, one of which has been accepted into a film festival.
Young Mr. Ertzberger tells us all about this special way for organizations to still create a Christmas musical with kids and adults. “A Virtual Christmas” contains plenty of family fun, humor, and the full story of the birth of Jesus. Making this inventive musical happen requires only the script, some creativity and an iPhone camera. Actors simply record scenes in their own home. Editing can even be done by Paul himself.
If your church, theater group, or other organization is interested in putting on “A Virtual Christmas,” get all the details at avirtualchristmas.com. Or you can email Paul directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
